FEATHERANDSAGE_September Wallpaper.jpg

Happy Friday folks! Hope your week has been a good one overall. For me it has been a bit different as I'm recovering from a surgery that I'm so glad to finally put behind me... catching up on a lot of Zzzzz's has been nice for a change, although it can be a bit challenging for me to do nothing at times ((except drink coffee, which is never a bad thing)). It's necessary 'me' time while I heal, and recoup.

If you follow me on instagram @featherandsagedesign, you may already know that I had ganglion cyst surgery last Monday that turned out to be way more than I initially thought. My hand and arm are bandaged up so that it looks like I'm carrying around a nicely wrapped burrito that's almost the size of a newborn, lol. Anyways, yesterday while recuperating I did a bit of minimal botanical leaf sketching on my iPad Pro and loved the results so much that I thought I'd share it as an iPad and/or Desktop wallpaper. Check out the details below, and enjoy!.

That's all for now, enjoy!  ;)

A quick search on Pinterest for "moodboards" and you'll get a plethora of returns. If I'm not careful I could easily be there for days, if not weeks while mopping up my drool. Most of my project inspiration comes from images online (especially Unsplash), images I shoot myself, feedback from my customers, and generally speaking, my daily life.

I have found that the more you make moodboards the more a style and pattern starts to evolve. For instance, visually I gravitate towards, neutral colors, minimalism,  Have a look at some of the moodboards I've created below:

Do you create moodboards, and if so, how do you use them in your creative business?

NEW BLOG for 2016

Hope you're having the best new year ever!  Lots of exciting changes, and things have been happening lately. If you follow me on my new Instagram account, you may have noticed that I announced a relaunch of my website recently or as I like to call it 'cleaning house". Along with the recent relaunch of my site, I've also had plans to move my blog over to the same web platform I'm currently using (Squarespace, it's the bee's knees). For the longest I've always been a Blogger user. Why? Simply because I found it easy to use and customize, and it's free (and I like free).  As many of us know; however, free isn't always the best option. Well long story short, I have experienced some funky glitches and hiccups with Blogger (nothing major, and actually it was very rare but nonetheless annoying, and time consuming). So after experiencing a steady growth with F+S and after using my current website platform for a good while now, I knew it was a move was inevitable, and positive. So without further ado, this is officially my first blog post for the new F+S blog).

If you like freebies, feel free to visit the old blog to download my current available digital resource freebies. You can click on the following images or the link button below to check them out. Enjoy!
